Malaysia said exports of plastic products beyond China and Thailand

Malaysian Plastics Manufacturers Association consultant Andrew Yam said recently, the same as a major exporter of plastic products in China and Thailand, Malaysia is not the opponent.

He said the country more than 63% of plastic products for export, and the proportion is growing. Major European and Japanese markets, two places about 60% of total exports. On these two markets of Malaysias best-selling product is the plastic wrap, bread bags, as well as daily necessities bag.
According to him, in 2013 the total sales of nearly 18 billion ringgit, up 4.5% compared to 2012, exports grew faster, reaching 6.5%.
But he also said that the countrys plastics industry is currently the major problem faced by high tariffs, import of raw materials and increase the minimum wage by 30% import duty.
After According to him, the countrys plastics business have a common business strategy, namely to determine the export market and a stable position, only to go to foreign investment, which is delineated by the state, including Cambodia, Myanmar and Indonesia. Especially in Cambodia and Myanmar, the local industry has not been developed, with the greatest development potential.
