Recently, Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC) developed the first new bio-based polycarbonate diol (a high-performance polyols), and plans to start in April this year, the global market development and sales. MCC use exclusive manufacturing process to produce the new product, its ingredients available on the market with a polycarbonate diol is completely different.
The polycarbonate diol is mainly used to produce resins, such as a raw material for polyurethane, acrylic and polyester, has excellent durability, can be used for automotive interior materials (e.g., synthetic leather seat covers and instrument panels), automobile coated layer coating resins and electronic products (such as smart phones and PC). Meanwhile MCC is expected to environmentally friendly water-based polyurethane resin for the new type of polycarbonate diol demand strong.
MCC renewable bio-based materials as raw materials, the use of patented technology to produce a new type of polycarbonate diol. Products of high hardness, with excellent mechanical properties, low temperature resistance, chemical resistance and abrasion resistance. These properties are available on the market polycarbonate diol product difficult to achieve.
