Based on rising raw material prices and supply shortages, DuPont Performance Polymers division announced an increase in the price of the following products in the Asia Pacific region.
The new prices will be effective from March 3, 2014, or the contract approved:
DuPont Zytel nylon resins and DuPont Minlon mineral reinforced nylon resins rose to $ 0.50 per kilogram;
DuPont Zytel HTN high performance polyamide resin, nylon resin products and premium rose to $ 0.80 per kilogram;
DuPont Crastin PBT thermoplastic polyester resin products rose to $ 0.30 per kilogram;
DuPont Hytrel TPC-ET thermoplastic polyester resin products rose to $ 0.30 per kilogram.
DuPont said the company has been committed to enhancing productivity through improvement plans and other programs to offset rising costs, but based on the recent rise in the cost of continuous magnitude too high, resulting in the need to make this adjustment to help ensure long-term sustainable supply of products and innovation.
